About Bakuchiol – this ingredient is extracted from the babchi herb used extensively in Indian and Chinese medicine. While Bakuchiol has been touted to be a natural replacement for retinol, studies have suggested that it is not truly as potent as retinol, but can boost the effectiveness of this serum.
Bakuchiol clinically can reduce hyperpigmentation, and excess sebum production. It also has antifungal and antibacterial activity which acts synergistically with mandelic acid. Bakuchiol boosts and further stabilizes our encapsulated retinols, especially with UV exposure.
